The problem
Every Monday someone merged four spreadsheets by hand, and the numbers rarely matched.
What we did
- Agreed one definition for each metric with the finance lead.
- Wrote a pipeline to clean and combine the sources into one database.
- Scheduled a weekly report with the same layout every time.
- Added checks that flag missing or odd data before sending.
The outcome
- The Monday merge is gone.
- Everyone reads the same numbers.
- Problems in the data are flagged early.
